I absolutely loved Deep House: A Haunting. It’s one of those books that completely pulls you in — gripping, intense, and genuinely creepy in places (there were a few moments that gave me actual chills!).
But it’s not just a ghost story — it’s moving too, with real emotional depth and characters that stay with you long after you’ve finished. The atmosphere is perfect for this time of year, and the writing is beautiful throughout.

I couldn’t put this book down. Deep House is the perfect mix of eerie atmosphere, emotional depth, and clever storytelling. Pip Harrison has created something that feels both haunting and deeply human, the kind of story that stays with you long after you’ve finished it. The supernatural elements are woven in so naturally that you start to question what’s real and what’s not, and the sense of unease builds beautifully.
The characters are vivid, flawed, and believable, and the writing itself is cinematic, you can see every scene play out. I found myself completely absorbed, heart racing one minute and holding my breath the next. If you love supernatural mysteries with real emotional weight, this is an absolute must-read.

A wonderful first book. Deep House is beautifully written. Descriptions of the house and the effects and emotions it has on Jenny makes you believe that you are their with her.
This is a real page turned from the first word to the last. A book I could not put down. This is not just a ghost story but has real humour and warmth. I deals with the issues of mental health and how this has an affect on the emotions of an entire family.
Highly recommended.
Incredible that this is just a first novel ! Such a mature, assured and expressive touch, I couldn’t stop myself looking over my shoulder as I read this beautifully written spine-chilling story.
